Vial of Swiftness: Coober Pedy Opal Doublet Flame Pendant in Sterling Silver
The smallest piece in the collection with a tiny, precise Coober Pedy opal doublet set in a leaf- or flame-shaped sterling silver bottle.
For the moments you need to be a little faster and a little sharper than whoever's in your way.
Where the rest of the collection uses a classic bottle silhouette, this one has a slim leaf shape, sized down to something you barely notice you're wearing. Like Vial of Invisibility, the silver here is left oxidised rather than polished, giving the piece a darker, shadow-like presence with the small opal set in as its single point of light.
Why you’ll love it
- Genuine Coober Pedy opal doublet

- Oxidised (darkened) sterling silver finish
- Light enough for daily, all-day wear
How to wear it

Caring for your piece
Opal doublets are more delicate than solid stone so avoid knocks, keep away from perfume, chlorine and prolonged sun. Store separately from harder gems to prevent scratching and only polish the silver gently with a soft cloth; (skip any chemical dips).
A few questions people ask
Is the opal genuine? Yes! It's a doublet (a thin layer of natural opal bonded to a dark backing to bring out the colour), so it's real opal, not synthetic.
Will the silver tarnish? It can over time with air and exposure to oils and water, a quick polish with a silver cloth brings the shine straight back.
Is it one of a kind? The stone's exact colour and flash pattern is unique to this piece.
Handmade in Oxfordshire, UK.
